It’s the little details that make a difference.

It’s the little details that make a difference. I’ve been weatherstripping our original windows that date back to 1894. I’ve become pretty good at glazing my windows that needed it. They were also scraped, sanded and repainted. I installed copper weatherstripping and had to replace some ropes on the sash weights. It’s a lot of work but so worth it. The icing on the cake are these pretty brass sash lifts from @houseofantiquehardware .

This Peruvian wool tapestry by V.Yuri was hanging in the back corner at my local thrift shop. I instantly loved it and grabbed it off the wall. Wasn’t even sure where I’d hang it. I got home and walked around the house with it. It ended up in my living room. It’s not the style of anything else in my home, but it’s perfect. I don’t care about matching styles. I care about filling my home with pieces that I love, and I love this. It’s the colors. It’s the church. It’s the four women. It’s the sky and the mountains. Such a peaceful scene.
