The railings on ‘balcony’ over the front door went in today. My insurance company will be happy! All the railings and posts are new but the decorative finials are the originals that I saved. It’s those final touches that make a huge difference.

As the construction part of this project is at an end, we’re in the stage of bringing in the larger design elements like furniture, rugs, and window treatments. For me, this is where I take my time, curating each piece. I plan to sew my own window treatments, make my own throw pillows and do my best to carefully choose what goes on the walls.
